Standard Nursery LLC was founded by Josh LaPoint with a simple vision of connecting the needs of nursery distributors with the production capacity of growers. We use grow agreements to build the needs of our customers directly into the production plans of top growers. With minimum specifications for every plant, set pricing, and a designated shipping window, our growers become an extension of your own facilities. This unique model gives everyone proactive control over their own supply chains and their businesses. We also provide traditional brokering services, helping to meet the urgent needs of customers by sourcing products and delivering across the country. Meet the Team -- Josh LaPoint, Owner, Standard Nursery LLC
Josh LaPoint is a first-generation nurseryman who entered the industry in 2016 after seeing a “Sales Rep Wanted” sign at a large wholesale nursery. With no experience, he learned fast, traveling the U.S. and Canada, building strong relationships, and soaking up knowledge. In fall of 2020, he left to help turn around Oregon operations for a major grower, learning resilience and the complexity of production planning. In 2024, he had an idea to increase profitability and reduce waste so he decided to found Standard Nursery to align grower production with buyer demand and build lasting partnerships.
